What you get, and what you have to switch on

Enclessa includes messaging, direct messages that are end-to-end encrypted by default (an unencrypted one, where the organisation allows it, is labelled as such), video calls and integrations for every organisation, plus twelve modules — boards, GitHub, projects, customers, contracts, bookings, cards, mail, time tracking, people, the Lexware Office connector and the Companion — that an operator switches on per organisation. Every page below says what the capability does and, at the bottom, what it deliberately does not do.

Open betaThe platform is being built in the open, so parts of it are not there yet, behaviour changes between releases, and no availability figure is committed while it is in beta. What is still being built.

Core

Included for every organisation, on every plan.

Messaging

Teams, channels, threads and direct messages, with search, files and a permission model checked in the data layer.

Encryption

MLS per RFC 9420 through OpenMLS, one key per device, with the server running delivery and holding no keys.

Video calls

One-to-one and group calls with screen sharing, a lobby, host controls and in-call chat, on LiveKit.

Modules

Off until an operator switches them on. A disabled module does not answer its routes at all.

Task boards

Kanban boards that inherit the team’s roles and link back to the conversation the work came out of.

Time tracking

Clock in and out, project time, timesheets with approval, absence with an entitlement ledger and an overtime balance.

People

Employee records, an org chart, effective-dated history, documents with acknowledgements, and onboarding that actually creates the accounts.

Projects

What the organisation is working on, who owns it, and what points at it — milestones, risks, decisions and the room it is argued about in.

Customers

The companies the organisation works with — contacts, addresses, an activity log and a follow-up date — with the projects, hours and appointments that point at them.

Contracts

The agreement made with a customer, built from blocks and a clause library, and signed as a frozen PDF with the organisation’s own certificate.

Bookings

Somebody outside asks for a time and somebody inside answers — appointment types, opening hours, a public booking API and a link the visitor manages themselves.

Cards

A card per employee derived from the employment in force, with a share link and a verification page somebody with no account can read.

Mail

The organisation’s mailboxes, read and answered inside the product, with access granted per mailbox and threads attachable to a customer.

Finanzen

The invoice the booked hours already imply, proposed and posted as a draft into the organisation’s own Lexware Office ledger.

Companion

Ask for something in your own words: it finds what you may already see, proposes the change, and you decide whether it happens.

Why some of it is a module

The split is not a pricing trick with a technical excuse. Messaging, encryption and calls are what every organisation is here for, so they are on for everybody and cannot be turned off. Boards, GitHub sync, time tracking and people management are each a surface with its own data, its own retention and its own audit trail, and an organisation that never switches one on should not be administering it, explaining it to its works council, or answering for it in a data protection audit. A disabled module does not answer its routes at all — it is absent rather than hidden.

Which modules a plan includes is the only thing the tiers differ by. The messaging is the same on all of them.

What is not here matters as much as what is. There is no document co-authoring, no wiki and no spreadsheet: files are stored, versioned and displayed, not edited. There are no mobile applications yet — the web client is the client, and a macOS desktop app is in development. Recording a call is a job the media egress accepts rather than a finished file it hands back, and telephone dial-in, live captions and breakout rooms are not built.
