Enclessa Mail is the module that reads and answers the organisation’s own mailboxes from inside the product: as many as it has, personal or shared, with access granted per mailbox to a person, a team or a role and to nobody else. It reads, answers, files and searches with the mail server kept as the truth rather than copied into a second one, sends under a granted identity through the organisation’s own relay, and appends the legal footer written once for the organisation.

Whose mail server is it?

Yours. Enclessa is a client here rather than a host: it connects to the organisation’s existing mailboxes over IMAP and sends through its relay over SMTP, and the mail server stays the truth. That is what keeps the module honest about what it can do — an operation with no verb in IMAP is one this product does not offer, and the hoster’s own console remains where the mailbox itself is administered.

What does it gain from the rest of the platform?

A thread can be attached to a customer, and the correspondence then appears on that record beside the projects and the appointments. A draft can carry a booking link. The Companion can summarise a thread when both are installed. None of these is a dependency: each is a panel that is present when its module is and absent when it is not.

What this does not do

Mail is off until an operator enables the module for the organisation.
Enclessa does not host mail. It connects to mailboxes the organisation already has, and creating or deleting a mailbox happens in the hoster’s own console.
Mail is not end-to-end encrypted. It is ordinary mail on your own server — the encryption guarantees on this site are about rooms in Enclessa, not about SMTP.

Mail: common questions

Does Enclessa include email?

Enclessa has a Mail module that reads and answers the organisation’s existing mailboxes over IMAP and SMTP. It is a mail client inside the product, not a mail host: the organisation keeps its own mail server, and the server stays the truth.

Is mail in Enclessa end-to-end encrypted?

No. Mail is ordinary email on your own mail server, and the end-to-end encryption Enclessa provides covers direct messages and group direct messages inside the platform. A page that claimed otherwise would be claiming something SMTP cannot do.

Can a shared mailbox be given to a team?

Yes. Access is granted per mailbox to a person, a team or a role, and to nobody else. Sending happens under a granted identity rather than under whoever happens to be reading.
