Migration
Moving here is manual. Here is how to do it properly.
Enclessa has no automated importer, so migrating to it means rebuilding your structure by hand, running both systems in parallel for a fortnight, and cutting over on an announced date. Each guide below covers one source product: what to audit before anybody moves, how its structure maps onto Enclessa teams, categories, channels and room modes, what does and does not come across, and how to get an archive out of the product you are leaving.
Open betaThe platform is being built in the open, so parts of it are not there yet, behaviour changes between releases, and no availability figure is committed while it is in beta. What is still being built.
There is no importer, and there is not going to be one soon
Enclessa has no automated importer. No tool moves messages, files, members or permissions out of another product and into Enclessa, and none is promised. Migration is a manual exercise: you rebuild the structure, run both systems side by side for a fortnight, and cut over on a date everybody knows. Every guide here is written for that reality rather than around it.

Pick the product you are leaving
Each guide names what maps well, what maps badly, and what has no equivalent at all.
What every one of these migrations has in common
- Rebuild only what is alive. In most workspaces a minority of rooms have been used this quarter, and recreating the rest is the largest avoidable cost in the whole exercise.
- Decide each room’s mode before creating it. A managed room is searchable, retainable and exportable; an end-to-end encrypted room is none of those and cannot be read by any administrator. The mode is fixed at creation and cannot be changed.
- Answer questions in the new place even when they were asked in the old one. A parallel run only ends if the answers move.
- Make the old system read-only on an announced date. One that stays writable never empties, and a permanent split costs more than either product alone.
- Take the archive out of the old product before the subscription ends, because export access usually goes with it.
- Trial the move on the Free plan first — up to ten people, permanently, with no payment card and nothing to cancel.
