Why derive a card?
An issued card is a copy that must be revoked. A derived card is resolved from the employment in force on the date asked, so it expires by arithmetic.

Who sees what?
Five visibility bands, set per field. Sharing is off by default and switching it off deletes nothing.
What it does not do
- Wallet passes, the email-signature generator and batch printing are not available.
- A card is not an access credential. Entitlements are exported to whatever opens the door.
