The invoice the hours already imply

Enclessa Finanzen is the module that turns recorded work into invoice drafts in the organisation’s own ledger. It pushes customers to Lexware Office and mirrors every invoice, credit note and reminder back with its PDF; it proposes an invoice from booked hours, grouped and rounded as agreed, and posts it there as a draft; and it marks those hours invoiced with the number the ledger gave them, so the same hour cannot be billed twice. It numbers nothing, sends nothing and finalises nothing — the ledger is the authority and this is the copy.

Open betaThe platform is being built in the open, so parts of it are not there yet, behaviour changes between releases, and no availability figure is committed while it is in beta. What is still being built.

Which side is the authority?

The ledger, on every question where the two could disagree. Enclessa pushes customers across and reports a difference nobody has to hunt for; it mirrors vouchers back with their PDFs so the record is readable here; and it posts invoice proposals as drafts. Numbering, sending and finalising happen in Lexware Office, because those are the acts the tax record depends on and a second system that also performs them is a second set of numbers.

  • Customers pushed to the ledger, with differences reported rather than hidden
  • Every invoice, credit note and reminder mirrored back with its PDF
  • An invoice proposed from booked hours and posted as a draft
  • Nothing numbered, sent or finalised here

What does it tell the organisation?

What is owed, what is overdue, and what has been worked but not yet billed — the last of which is the figure a timesheet and a ledger can never answer separately. It also runs the organisation’s German onboarding workflow as a set of gates over evidence rather than as a checklist, so a new customer is taken through the steps German law puts in the order it puts them.

  • Owed, overdue, and worked-but-unbilled in one view
  • Hours claimed once, so the same hour cannot be billed twice
  • Recurring templates read and bound to a contract
  • A new customer taken through the steps German law puts in that order

What this does not do

  • Finanzen is off until an operator enables the module, and requires the Customers module.
  • The only ledger it connects to is Lexware Office. There is no generic accounting connector and no DATEV export from this module.
  • It numbers nothing, sends nothing and finalises nothing. Anything that has to be legally final happens in the ledger.

Questions

Finanzen: common questions

Can Enclessa write invoices?

Enclessa proposes them. The Finanzen module builds an invoice from booked hours, grouped and rounded as agreed, and posts it as a draft into the organisation’s Lexware Office ledger. Numbering, sending and finalising happen there, because those are the acts the tax record depends on.

Which accounting system does Enclessa connect to?

Lexware Office, using an API key the organisation supplies. There is no generic accounting connector, and no DATEV export from this module.

Can the same hour be invoiced twice?

No. An hour is claimed when it goes onto a proposal and marked invoiced with the number the ledger returned, which is what makes the worked-but-unbilled figure meaningful.
